The West Ham United owner insists they are doing everything to secure new signings.
The Hammers are expected to be busy in this summer transfer window as they look to build on an impressive first season under Slaven Bilic.
They have already secured one new player as they signed midfielder Harvard Nordtveit on a free transfer.
They have also signalled their desire to spend big, seeing a big money offer for striker Alexander Lacazette turned down by Lyon. There has been little action in the last few weeks though, especially with Euro 2016 kicking off.
Gold has moved to assure the club’s fans though, saying Bilic and joint chairman David Sullivan are working hard to finalise signings.
“Finally, I want to assure our fans that we are continuing to work hard behind the scenes as we look to bring in new players,” he told whufc.com.
“There is a lot of hard work involved, but David Sullivan and Slaven Bilic will be doing everything to bring in the players we need to help us grow even stronger.”
It will certainly be interesting to see what work that West Ham can get done in this summer transfer window.
They certainly seem keen to make a big impression and spend the money to transform them into regular top six contenders and beyond.
Whether West Ham can get the players they want remains to be seen though, with the rest of the Premier League also looking to spend big.
