The Magpies were relegated from the Championship this past season after a disastrous campaign under Steve McClaren. There is optimism ahead of next season though, with the club having secured Rafa Benitez as their manager.
Many believe that appointment will see them competing at the top of the Championship and making a quick return to the Premier League next year.

A big change in the playing squad is expected, with many believing Newcastle lack the experience that they had the last time they were in the Championship.
