According to today's print edition of The Sun, Southampton are now considering Fenerbahce boss Vitor Pereira as a contender to replace Everton-bound Ronald Koeman.

The Saints will soon be on the lookout for a new manager, as current boss Ronald Koeman is on the verge of joining Premier League rivals Everton in a shock move.

That means that, two years after losing Mauricio Pochettino to Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton will need to find a new manager again - but if there's anything the Saints have shown over the last couple of years, it's that they can rebuild well and recover from any losses.

A host of managers have already been linked with moves to the South Coast, and a new name can be added to the list - Fenerbahce boss Vitor Pereira.

The Portuguese manager, 47, has impressed as Fenerbahce manager, taking them to a second-placed finish in the Turkish Super Lig this past season, losing just four games of 34 in the league.

Now, The Sun report that Pereira is in the running to become the new Saints boss, but in a role as a coach instead of a manager who will handle signings.

With experience managing Porto, Al-Ahli and Olympiacos, Pereira has managed around the world already, whilst he was also Andre Villas-Boas' assistant at Porto - and if appointed, Southampton will be hoping that Pereira will have more success than Villas-Boas in the Premier League.
