Championship side Nottingham Forest are without a manager at the moment.

Former Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers boss Neil Warnock wants to take the Nottingham Forest managerial job, according to The Nottingham Post.

According to the British newspaper, Warnock is enthusiastic about becoming the new Forest manager.

It has been reported that no serious talks have been held between the two parties.

However, according to the report, Forest are aware of Warnock’s interest in taking charge of the Championship club.

Warnock is a good manager and knows the Championship inside out. The football that the former Rotherham United manager’s teams play is not entertaining or exciting.

However, that probably should not be a concern for Forest, who have become also-rans in the Championship in recent years.

The Reds are one of the biggest clubs of England, but at the moment it appears that they are in the Championship just to make up the numbers.

Warnock knows how to get clubs promoted, and if Forest are serious about a top-six finish in the Championship next season, then they should at least hold talks with the former Crystal Palace manager.
