Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Dimitri Payet from West Ham United in the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph.

It has been reported that the Ligue 1 outfit are watching the France international attacking midfielder.

“Other than wanting to sign Kante, PSG are carefully watching Dimitri Payet and will have only been impressed by the West Ham star’s spectacular winning goal for France,” states the report in The Telegraph.

“Payet only signed a new £125,000-a-week contract at West Ham in February, but that will not stop PSG making a bid over £30m for the 29-year-old if he continues to shine.”

PSG are not the only club who have been linked with a move for Payet in the summer transfer window, though.

According to, Premier League giants and London outfit Chelsea have asked about the France international.

Payet joined the Hammers from Marseille in the summer of 2015 and took the Premier League by storm.

The 29-year-old scored nine goals and created 116 chances in 30 Premier League matches for the Hammers this past season.

Payet has started the Euro 2016 finals in style, as he played a starring role in France’s 2-1 victory over Romania in their opening game of the European Championship on Friday evening.

West Ham are a big club and will play in front of over 50,000 fans at the Olympic Stadium next season.

However, without Champions League football, it could be tough for the London outfit to keep hold of Payet if PSG make a bid.
