Hull City and Stoke City are the latest clubs to be linked with a move for out of favour Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Ryan Mason, according to the Sunday Mirror as reported by the Hull Daily Mail.

The report claims that the Premier League new boys are interested in adding another ex-Tottenham man to their squad but will face stiff competition from the Potters, with a bid of around £5 million required to secure Mason’s services.

Crystal Palace and Bournemouth have also been linked with the 24-year old in recent months, as reported by the Mirror, and a White Hart Lane exit looks firmly on the cards.

The England international has found his opportunities limited at Spurs after the surprise emergence of both Dele Alli and Eric Dier and the return to form of Mousa Dembele.

After beginning the last campaign in decent form, Mason suffered a knee injury from which he was never really able to recover and subsequently his first-team place was never reclaimed.

Recent reports by the likes of the Mirror, have linked Tottenham with a move for Victor Wanyama and it seems apparent that Mauricio Pochettino is looking for an upgrade in central midfield – leaving Mason’s future very much in the balance.
