This weekend saw Leeds United officially unveil their new away kit for next season – although most fans had already seen a leaked picture doing the rounds online.

The Kappa strip is predominantly blue with yellow trim and three of Leeds’ first-team players spoke at its official unveiling this weekend.

As reported on the official Leeds United Twitter account Lewis Cook had this to say:

“Yeah it feels like we can feel comfortable in what we play in and what we are wearing. So hopefully that can affect us in a positive way.”

Meanwhile Liam Cooper referenced the club’s good away record in the Championship last season:

“We done well away from home last season. It’ll be good to see the fans with the colours on in the stands.

“I can’t wait to get going now and I think it’ll go down well with the fans.”

Luke Murphy on the other hand is hopeful that the kits will help the team play better – although that might be a tad ambitious:

“You know, look good play good. That’s the aim, for us to try and put good performances in. If you feel good on the pitch hopefully that’ll help.”

The new kits certainly have a retro feel to them with the traditional Kappa emblem down the shorts and most Leeds fans are pleased with the kits – which are emblazoned with new sponsors 32Red Casinos and Clipper Logisitcs.

Some however would have preferred to have seen another yellow kit but it is certainly better than some of the other recent away kits Leeds United have had.
