Leeds United are yet to announce their first pre-season friendly - but another club has confirmed a match with them.

Non-league side Bridlington Town announced via their official website that they will host the Whites on July 16.

The early date of the fixture suggests it could be the club's first pre-season game of 2016/17.

Along with the previous delay in announcing their head coach, Garry Monk, pre-season arrangements are yet to follow, although should be expected soon.

Last year Leeds travelled abroad to Germany for a couple of fixtures in addition to games against non-league sides and Premier League Everton, who they beat 2-0 at Elland Road.

Bridlington is sited on the east Yorkshire coast, giving away fans a potential sunny trip to the seaside in mid-July.

Leeds will hope to have new signings in place for their pre-season games, while winger Stuart Dallas is unlikely to feature as he is involved at Euro 2016 and will have a later summer break.
