According to major French newspaper L'Equipe, Queens Park Rangers are battling the likes of Bordeaux, Hamburg and Torino for the signature of Manchester City midfielder Seko Fofana.

The R's will be looking to re-tool their squad in Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's first summer transfer window as manager, with a number of signings expected.

A number of players have already been linked with moves to Loftus Road, and now another name can be added to the list in Manchester City's Seko Fofana.

French newspaper L'Equipe report that QPR are keen to sign midfielder Fofana from the Blues, but face competition from major European clubs such as Bordeaux, Hamburg and Torino.

Fofana, 21, joined City from Lorient back in 2013, but has yet to make his first-team debut for the club having been out on loan at Fulham and then Bastia this past season.

The Paris-born midfielder, known as a good passer with great work rate and impressive athleticism, doesn't appear to have much of a future at the Etihad Stadium, and after two years out on loan playing regularly, he may now fancy regular first-team football - something QPR may be able to offer more than Bordeaux, Hamburg or Torino.

New City boss Pep Guardiola may want to take a look at the youngster before selling him, but given that he hasn't even made his debut for the club yet, QPR may stand a great chance of landing Fofana this summer.
