The German has previously spent time on loan at Birmingham.
Nottingham Forest recently announced their released and retained list after the 2015-16 season and there was no surprise to see German midfielder Robert Tesche on the released list.
Last summer he was in a similar situation but Forest decided to keep him on after he had impressed on loan at Birmingham City.
Now it is believed that Birmingham are interested in getting the player back in.
Vital Football Birmingham have reported this week that the Blues are keen on bringing the player back this summer – but no move has been made just yet.

They claim that no approach has been made yet for the player, as Gary Rowett considers several options.
The 29-year-old played 12 times for Birmingham at the end of the 2014-15 season and impressed at the club. But that summer he signed an option to stay at Forest – which did not work out the way he would have planned.
Tesche featured just 25 times for Forest last term and had some injury problems throughout the start of the campaign and it is fair to wonder if Birmingham can do better.
