Toure has been released by Premier League side Liverpool, and he will now be looking for a new club.
The Merseyside outfit have placed the defender on the list of released players published on Premierleague.com.
The former Arsenal and Manchester City centre-back started the final against Sevilla at St. Jakob-Park in Basel and played for 82 minutes, as Jurgen Klopp’s side went down 3-1.
The former Ivory Coast international defender was solid in the first half and led the backline well.
The 35-year-old had a pass accuracy of 73%, won 83% of his headers, and made three interceptions, 18 clearances and five blocks.
Good luck to Kolo Toure. At least he went out as #LFC's best player in Basel.— Jim Beglin (@jimbeglin) June 10, 2016
It will be interesting to see which club Toure now joins. Perhaps another Premier League team could make an offer for the veteran defender.
