Jim Beglin has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the departure of Kolo Toure from Liverpool.

Toure has been released by Premier League side Liverpool, and he will now be looking for a new club.

The Merseyside outfit have placed the defender on the list of released players published on Premierleague.com.

Former Liverpool defender Beglin has wished Toure the best of luck in his career, and has also claimed that he was the best player for the Reds in the 2016 UEFA Europa League final.

The former Arsenal and Manchester City centre-back started the final against Sevilla at St. Jakob-Park in Basel and played for 82 minutes, as Jurgen Klopp’s side went down 3-1.

The former Ivory Coast international defender was solid in the first half and led the backline well.

The 35-year-old had a pass accuracy of 73%, won 83% of his headers, and made three interceptions, 18 clearances and five blocks.

It will be interesting to see which club Toure now joins. Perhaps another Premier League team could make an offer for the veteran defender.
