Speaking on Match of the Day, broadcast June 10, Gary Lineker has admitted that he fears the big clubs will try to sign N’Golo Kante from Leicester City this summer.

The French midfielder was in fine form this past season, playing a key role in Leicester City’s surprise Premier League title success.

His performances did not go unmissed by the international set up either, with Didier Deschamps calling him to the France squad for Euro 2016.

He was in the team that beat Romania 2-1 in the opening game, putting in an all action performance that once again caught the eye.

And speaking after the game, Gary Lineker admitted that he fears the big sides will be in for the Foxes star this summer.

“I think he’s gone. One of the giants will come in for him, as much as I will hate it,” he admitted to Match of the Day.

It will certainly be interesting to see if the big clubs do try to sign N’Golo Kante this summer.

His displays in the Premier League did not go unnoticed, while it appears he is set to star in Euro 2016 too, if his display against Romania is anything to go by.

One side who could be particularly keen are Real Madrid, who may be looking for an upgrade on defensive midfielder Casemiro, while PSG have also been credited with an interest.
