Speaking to the London Evening Standard, Arsenal star Mesut Ozil says he believes England are among the favourites for Euro 2016.
England kick off their Euro 2016 campaign on Saturday as they take on Russia in Marseille.
They are expected to qualify comfortably from Group B, with Wales and Slovakia their other opponents in the group stages.
Beyond that, the Three Lions are something of an unknown quantity, although the feeling from the other big sides at the tournament is that they could be dark horses.
And Ozil is one of those backing them, saying that he believes England are among the favourites for the title.
“For me, England have improved a lot in the last few years and certainly they have the ability to fight to get to the final,” he told the London Evening Standard.
“It is difficult to speak about who will win because the tournament is very open. But, for me, they are one of the favourites for the title.”

It will certainly be interesting to see how England fare at Euro 2016 this summer given the squad at their disposal.
They have a squad full of young talent, most of whom were challenging at the top end of the Premier League this past season, and the Three Lions will need them to replicate that form.
If they can do just that, then there is no denying that England stand a strong chance of going far in the tournament.
