The Spanish international failed to make an impact at Southampton.

Sky Sports report that the summer signing cost Southampton a fee in the region of £5 million, his release clause at his former club, and that looked a bargain.
The 22-year-old had recently made his international debut for Spain and Southampton looked to have snapped up a potential star.
However, Juanmi played just 161 minutes of Premier League football has struggled to deal with the more physical aspect of English football.
Saints boss Koeman even said this to the official Southampton website last year:
“I don’t say the Premier League is stronger than the Spanish competition, but it’s different in tempo and physically what you need. That needs time.
“We speak with Juanmi about that and sometimes I am the referee if we play a game on the pitch and I don’t whistle.
“I don’t whistle because sometimes he’s falling too easy. He needs to be stronger.”
Juanmi looked a talent in an early Europe League game against Vitesse but never turned that into consistent performances worthy of the Premier League.
Southampton have made some excellent signings in recent times but there have also been some real duds.
Most Saints fans though will not see Juanmi as that. His cap for Spain shows he has class but simply put, English football is just not for him.
He was a gamble that did not pay off and now he will likely get back to his best in San Sebastian.
Here is how Southampton fans reacted to the news on Twitter…
Think Juanmi can safely be added to the list of disastrous #saintsfc signings. Still not sure what type of player he is. Too lightweight.— Alex Crook (@alex_crook) June 9, 2016
Southampton sell Juanmi to Real Sociedad after one season in England - cost them 5M from Malaga - never settled & never scored #SaintsFC— Adam Blackmore (@bigadamsport) June 9, 2016
Shame it didn't happen here for Juanmi, when he came on against Vitesse at home I thought he was good #saintsfc— Jamie Bedford (@Saintsfan4eva) June 9, 2016
