Manchester United are looking at offering Matteo Darmian in a part-exchange deal for Paul Pogba, The Sun report.

Paul Pogba is interesting the Red Devils, four years after he left the club for Juventus on a free transfer.

While Jose Mourinho is keen on a deal, they face competition from Real Madrid, and are hoping they can solve Juventus' search for a right-back by including Darmian in the transfer.

Pogba would cost in excess of £60 million, and while Darmian's inclusion would only reduce the price by a fraction, it could help persuade the Italian giants.

Darmian signed for United just last year, and after showing initial promise, faded, struggling with injuries, and lost his place to Guillermo Varela, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, and Antonio Valencia.

His exit would leave manager Jose Mourinho with a decision to make at right-back, but this would be a very solvable problem if they land Pogba.

Pogba is represented by Mino Raiola, who is also the agent for striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

One sticking point in a swap deal could be the fact Darmian signed from Torino last summer, Juventus' Turin rivals, and the defender may be unwilling to anger his former team by joining the Serie A champions.
