Fulham are showing an interest in Wigan Athletic midfielder Emyr Huws, according to the Daily Mail.

Huws, who the report claims is valued at £2.5 million by the Latics, spent last season on loan to Huddersfield Town.

The 22-year-old scored five goals and assisted another three in last season's Championship, and was called into Chris Coleman's provisional Wales squad for Euro 2016.

However, Huws was later cut from Coleman's final 23, along with Adam Matthews, Paul Dummett, Tom Bradshaw, Wes Burns and Tom Lawrence.

Fulham have been left with a vacancy in midfield, having released Jamie O'Hara this week, and Huws, who began his career at Manchester City, could be the ideal fit for Cottagers boss Slavisa Jokanovic, who will be hoping to put his own stamp on the side he inherited from Kit Symons in December.

The Llanelli-born player previously impressed during a spell at Birmingham City, but was relegated with Wigan the following campaign.

He signed a four-year deal at the DW Stadium in 2014, which will enable the Latics to demand a healthy fee.
