Rangers may be on the verge of another summer signing...
Niko Kranjcar warming up for Tottenham
According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers are close to landing playmaker Niko Kranjcar as their latest new signing, after he assured the club he would be on board for pre-season training.
The Gers have already landed four new faces for the start of next season, with Accrington duo Matt Crooks and Josh Windass arriving on pre-contract agreements, whilst Joey Barton and Jordan Rossiter have signed from Burnley and Liverpool respectively.
However, manager Mark Warburton isn't done in the transfer market just yet, and he appears to be keen on adding some more creativity to his side despite already having the likes of Jason Holt, Barrie McKay and Harry Forrester.
The Scottish Sun report that, after Warburton flew to America last month in order to offer a deal to Niko Kranjcar, the playmaker is finally closing in on a move to Ibrox.
The 31-year-old, who became a Premier League star with Portsmouth and Tottenham under Harry Redknapp, is currently playing in the United States with NASL side New York Cosmos.
However, his deal there expires this summer, and Rangers have moved to try and snap him up, with the report claiming that Kranjcar will now pen a two-year deal at Ibrox.
It's claimed that Kranjcar has responded to Rangers' offer by telling the club he will be ready and on board for pre-season training later this summer, and the deal could even be confirmed as early as Monday.
The Croatian will add quality and experience to the Rangers side, whilst his impending arrival is another signal of intent from the Gers and manager Warburton, just weeks after landing another former Premier League star in Barton.
