The Liverpool defender is part of Slovakia’s squad for Euro 2016 this summer, with them set to kick off their campaign against the Welsh this weekend.

The star of the Welsh team is obviously Real Madrid man Gareth Bale, but Skrtel insists having the aforementioned duo in the team shows they’re not a one-man team.
"Of course Bale is world class, but it is not only him, the Wales team is not only Bale," liverpoolfc.com reports Skrtel as saying.
"There are more players, a lot of individuals. Everybody knows Bale, I have my Liverpool teammate Joe [Allen] there’s [Aaron] Ramsey from Arsenal [too].”

The Group B opening clash will be the first time that both sides have featured in a major European Championship and they will both naturally be keen to make their mark.
They share a group with England and Russia; meaning Saturday’s game is likely to be crucial to their respective hopes of making it out of the group stages.
Despite what Skrtel says, there is no denying that Bale will play a key part and it will be fascinating to see if he can have as big an impact as he did in getting the Welsh to the tournament.
