Payet was in action for France against Romania at the Euro 2016 finals on Friday evening.
The former Marseille midfielder was the star of the show, as the home team got the better of Romania 2-1.
The 29-year-old provided the assisted for France’s opening goal of the match and scored the winner late on with a stunning strike.
Grealish, who can play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, was following the match, and he was impressed with Payet’s performance.
Payet is so so so so gifted— Jack Grealish (@JackGrealish1) June 10, 2016
Payet was the best player on the pitch at Stade de France in Saint-Denis on Friday evening, attempting five dribbles and creating eight chances.
The Frenchman scored nine goals and created 116 chances in 30 Premier League appearances for West Ham during the 2015-16 season.
Grealish, 20, himself is a talented player, and hopefully he will have learned something from Payet’s performance for France against Romania on Friday evening.
