Colin Kazim-Richards has left Celtic to join Coritiba.
Celtic fans have expressed their disappointment on Twitter that Colin Kazim-Richards' move did not work out as expected.
Kazim-Richards has signed a new 18-month deal at Brazilian side Coritiba, just six months after signing at Parkhead.
Kazim-Richards joined Celtic in the January transfer window, but he did not make much of an impression at Parkhead.
The Turkish international made just four Scottish Premiership starts for the Bhoys, and only played 13 times in total.
During those appearances, Kazim-Richards only scored twice, but his passion for the shirt did earn him some credit. Here is the best reaction from Celtic fans on social media site Twitter.
@ColinKazim Thanks for giving it 100% last season. It didn't go unnoticed.— kieran. (@_kieranp) June 9, 2016
By moving to Coritiba, Kazim-Richards will now play in Brazil for the first time. The attacker has played in six different countries to date throughout his career.
Kazim-Richards’ departure is a signal that Brendan Rodgers is aiming to improve Celtic’s attacking ranks this summer.
Kazim-Richards is the second player to leave Celtic since Rodgers took charge, following the departure of Anthony Stokes.
