Celtic fans have been having their says in response to Rangers supporters who belittled their surge in ticket sales.

HITC reported earlier this week how Gers fans had been discussing the queues at Celtic after season tickets went on general sale, and claimed the main reason for this was because the Light Blues have returned to the top flight.

Celtic supporters have though hit back, and are adamant that Rangers have nothing to do with the renewed interest.

Instead they maintain it is all about the feelgood factor brought from new manager Brendan Rodgers' arrival.

The former Liverpool boss has a reputation for playing attractive football dating back to his time in management at Swansea City, and expectations at Celtic Park are high.

Celtic supporters expressed their unhappiness with the previous management, despite winning the league, and this was a factor in Ronny Deila electing to resign at the end of the season.

Fans are clearly buying into Rodgers, regardless of what Rangers do, even if their return to the top flight will bring a lot more media interest into Scottish football.
