Aston Villa fans appear to have had a mixed reaction to the rumours suggesting that Boaz Myhill could be set to move to them from West Bromwich Albion.
Roberto Di Matteo worked with Myhill at the Hawthorns, and the Italian boss reportedly wants to reunite with the 33-year-old stopper at Villa Park.
Myhill began his career at Villa, but he was deemed surplus to requirements and has gone on to represent Hull and Albion.
According to the Express and Star, Villa now want to bring Myhill back to the club - as they consider him an upgrade on their current goalkeeping options.
Mark Bunn and Brad Guzan are currently competing for Villa’s number one shirt, but neither impressed much last season.
Claret and Blues fans seem divided over whether Myhill would actually be a good addition, though. Here is the best reaction on Twitter.

Assembling a team from Myhill, Elphick and Dorrans fills me with 0 confidence if rumours are to be true #avfc— Sean Kettle (@ketz33) June 9, 2016
Always been a big fan of Boaz Myhill ever since we got rid of him for not being good enough.— murph (@murphavfc) June 9, 2016
West Brom fans are seemingly more united over the transfer - and most suggest that they would rather the American-born custodian did not move on.
Myhill has done a credible job as cover for Ben Foster, and he is well regarded by West Brom supporters.
Why don't we just give Myhill a new contract? It would take us forever to sign a replacement, & I'd prefer keeping him instead of going #wba— Hanii Fanous (@Hanii_B) June 9, 2016
Myhill would be a fantastic signing for villa to be fair. He's by no means the best keeper in world. But he's been very unlucky at albion— Nick Hughes (@Nik_ader) June 9, 2016
Can't see Myhill starting ahead of Foster so wouldn't be a big miss. Be a good chance for a young keeper to prove himself at the club.— BaggyShep (@baggy_shep) June 9, 2016
All the best to Myhill if he moves on good solid keeper— West Bromwich Albion (@stuwba68) June 8, 2016
