Rotherham United are keen on a move to sign talented Chesterfield winger Gboly Ariyibi, HITC Sport understands.
The 21-year-old impressed last season for the League One side, providing eight assists.
Ariyibi has only one year left on his contract at Chesterfield, and Rotherham’s new management team are weighing up whether to make an approach.

HITC Sport understands new Millers boss Alan Stubbs had Ariyibi on his radar while manager of Hibernian, but missed out as he signed for Chesterfield instead.
Ariyibi made his professional debut for Leeds United, after being released as teenager by Southampton, but the Whites did not give him a chance to play regularly for them.
At Chesterfield he has been doing exactly that, and has recently earned international recognition, called up to the USA under-23 team last year.

Approached for comment by HITC Sport, Ariyibi’s agent Lee Payne of Full Contact insisted the winger’s priority was to focus on Chesterfield.
He said: “Gboly is under contract to Chesterfield and indeed we are having some discussions about a longer term contract.
“There are a number of clubs who have been tracking his progress, which is no surprise, but we are not going to comment on any speculation.”
