Just hours after new defender Eric Bailly was pictured in a Manchester United kit after becoming Jose Mourinho’s first signing at Old Trafford, another player has released an image of them in the iconic strip.
Rumours have been doing the rounds for some time now suggesting Dutch teenager Tahith Chong was on his way to Old Trafford and now the player himself has confirmed the news on his Twitter and Instagram accounts.
Along with an image of the 16-year-old in his new club’s shirt was the message, “Future player of Manchester United.”
It remains to be seen when the deal will be ratified but it is more good news for United fans who were desperate for plenty of new signings this summer.
Chong is very much one for the future, with the teenager previously contracted to Dutch club Feyenoord where he excelled in the youth ranks.
The left winger will seemingly continue his development at United in due course and he will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of his countryman Timothy Fosu-Mensah, who arrived from Ajax and was a first-team player less than two years later.
