Mario Melchiot says Vincent Janssen is an 'interesting choice' by Tottenham.

The 22-year-old scored for Holland against England in March and has been prolific in the Eredivisie this season, finishing as top goalscorer.
While the failed exploits of the likes of Mateja Kezman and Afonso Alves in England show that a good scoring record in Holland does not automatically translate to the Premier League, he has tentatively been backed to be a success by former Netherlands international Mario Melchiot.

Former Chelsea and Wigan ace Melchiot told SkySports News HQ on Wednesday at 10am that he approved of the potential deal to bring Janssen to White Hart Lane.
He said: "He scores a lot of goals. He's really good, he holds up the ball really well, and knows where goals is.
"He has understanding of where he is, he knows goal is without looking at it. He is a really interesting choice
"Technically he should be able to compete. It then becomes about the physical attributes and whteher he can handle the pressure."

The positive for Janssen is he will not be thrust into a situation where he is expected to immediately become the main man, with pressure piled upon him.
Instead he will be eased into the team with Harry Kane as the top striker, and while he will still be expected to make a vital contribution during the 2016/17 season and reach double figures, the situation should allow him to succeed rather than making it difficult.
