Hector Bellerin’s call up into the Spain squad for Euro 2016 has only helped to increase Barcelona’s attraction towards him, reports Spanish newspaper El Confidencial.

Bellerin enjoyed another fine campaign with the Gunners in 2015/16, cementing himself firmly as Arsene Wenger’s first choice right back once again.

He was not set to travel to Euro 2016, but an injury to Real Madrid Dani Carvajal saw him called up into the squad as a replacement.

That selection, and subsequent impressive display on his debut, has increased Barcelona’s interest in the player, according to El Confidencial.

He is well thought of at the club, who have been impressed with his rise in recent seasons, and the newspaper claims that his call up into the Euro 2016 squad has only improved his standing in Barcelona circles.

They know that it would take big money to convince Arsenal into a sale, but the reports of their fondness for the player suggest they may attempt a move.

That will come as bad news to Arsenal, who will be secretly fearing a move from the La Liga champions for their man this summer.
