Arsenal attacker Theo Walcott has no intention of departing the club, The Telegraph report.

The forward's future has been the subject of speculation after a poor season saw him miss out on England's Euro 2016 squad.

Jamie Vardy's potential signing for Arsenal has increased speculation over Walcott's future, but he wants to remain a Gunner.

The Telegraph report he has been assured over his future, and wants to 'stick it out' at Arsenal for one more season.

Walcott has become a bit of a derided figure, seen as a player who has exhausted his chances at Arsenal, while Vardy is the livewire attacker who is the player the Arsenal ace was supposed to become.

As part of Walcott being told he does have a future at Arsenal, it is reported that after holding talks with manager Arsene Wenger, he has agreed he should be played on the right, rather than up front - a position he had previously lobbied to play.

With a lack of consistency on the pitch, Walcott has been seen to lack the fight and personality to impose himself on games.

Now he must show his character by bouncing back from a serious setback for England, and spending most of the latter part of the season on the Arsenal bench, and show that he deserves a future at the club beyond the next 12 months.
