Plymouth Argyle supporters are desperate for Curtis Nelson to stay with them, after rumours recently linked him with Glasgow Rangers.

According to the Plymouth Herald, Rangers boss Mark Warburton wants to bring Nelson to Ibrox, after being impressed with the defender’s performances in League Two.

Rangers have targeted bringing in players from the Football League already this summer, with a range of players joining.

Rangers have snapped up Matt Crooks and Josh Windass from League Two side Accrington Stanley, while Joey Barton joined from Burnley, who were playing in the Championship last season.

Nelson’s arrival at Ibrox would bring another talented youngster to Rangers, and would strengthen Warburton’s defensive options.

Plymouth fans are desperate for Nelson to stay, but they realise that they may be powerless to resist if Rangers are in for him, as his contract at Home Park has now expired.

Nelson made 54 appearances for Plymouth last season, and he wore the captain’s armband despite still only being 23-years-old.
