Manchester United have been linked with Pachuca’s Hirving Lozano.

According to Mexican editorial Record, Manchester United are keen on signing Pachuca’s Hirving Lozano.

The Pachuca sporting vice-president Andres Fassi confirmed as much, telling reporters for Record that United and other clubs have been in touch to enquire about his availability.

“There have been approaches from United and also from other clubs. There will come a time to focus on the future of Hirving Lozano. Pachuca aims to keep its players unless it’s beneficial to sell,” Fassi explained.

Lozano is widely tipped to be the next rising star to make the move to a big European club, so here are five interesting facts which United supporters may wish to know about their reported target:

- Born in Mexico City in 1995, Lozano joined the Pachuca academy as a youngster and made his first-team debut for the club against Club America in 2014, scoring within minutes of coming on.

- The 20-year-old quickly established himself as one of the brightest wingers in the Liga MX, earning international recognition with the Mexican U20 side.

- Lozano featured in the 2015 CONCACAF U20 championship where he finished as the tournament’s Golden Boot winner, scoring an impressive five goals and adding five assists as Mexico triumphed.

- The talented winger has since played over 100 games for Pachuca and helped the club lift the most recent Mexican championship, defeating the fancied Monterrey 2-1 on aggregate in the final.

- Lozano has gone on to make three caps for the Mexican senior squad, with his latest appearance coming off the bench to help El Tri defeat Uruguay 3-1 in their opening 2016 Copa America encounter.
