Everton could have to pay Crystal Palace a transfer fee of at least £15 million if they want to sign Scott Dann in the summer transfer window, according to The Liverpool Echo.
It has been reported by the British newspaper that Everton will make a move for Dann if Ronald Koeman takes charge of the Merseyside outfit.
Koeman is in charge of Southampton at the moment, but he is reportedly set to become the new manager of Everton.
“The 29-year-old centre-half is likely to command a transfer fee of at least £15m and Palace would be reluctant to lose one of their key players,” states the report in The Liverpool Echo.
"But Koeman is likely to recommend that Everton consider Dann as a potential transfer target this summer," adds the report. "The 53-year-old has been monitoring Dann at Southampton."
Dann has been on the books of Palace since 2014 and is a key player for Alan Pardew’s side.
The Englishman is a very good defender and is probably one of the most underrated in the Premier League.
The 29-year-old would be a good signing for Everton, but is he worth £15 million? Probably not, but in these times, £15m for a player who has proven Premier League experience is not that much.
Dann scored five goals and created 10 chances in 35 Premier League appearances for Palace this past season.
The defender had a pass accuracy of 75% and a shot accuracy of 44%, and won 112 headers, 10 dribbles and 24 tackles.
