Tottenham's Mousa Dembele in action with Southampton's Jordy Clasie
According to The Mirror, Southampton boss Ronald Koeman wants to take midfielder Jordy Clasie with him once he is confirmed as the new Everton manager.
The 53-year-old has spent two years in charge of the Saints having arrived from Feyenoord in the summer of 2014, replacing Mauricio Pochettino following his move to Tottenham.
With two top seven finishes, Koeman has impressed as Southampton manager - now though, he's off to Everton, who finished well below the Saints in Koeman's two seasons at St. Mary's Stadium.
It's already a huge blow for the Saints, but now Koeman could look to bring some Southampton players to Merseyside with him during the summer transfer window.
The Mirror report that Koeman is keen to bring midfielder Jordy Clasie to Goodison Park, having worked with him at both Southampton and former club Feyenoord.
The Dutch international, 24, was a key player for Koeman at Southampton and Feyenoord, and after just one season on the South Coast, he could be on the move to follow Koeman again.
Everton already have midfielders such as Gareth Barry, James McCarthy, Muhamed Besic and Tom Cleverley, and whilst adding a player familiar with Koeman's system and methods would be smart, any potential deal could mean that a current Toffees midfielder is sold.
