According to the Daily Mail, Celtic remained locked in negotiations with Liverpool on Sunday evening, as they attempt to seal a deal for defender Andre Wisdom.
The Bhoys have a new manager at the helm in Brendan Rodgers, and whilst he'll be looking to offer chances to everybody in the squad, he will also be keen to add new faces to the side.
Now, it seems that Rodgers is keen to raid his former club Liverpool, as a deal for defender Andre Wisdom appears to be in the pipeline.
The Daily Mail report that Celtic made their first move for Wisdom on Saturday evening, and were still locked in talks on Sunday evening as the two clubs attempt to force through a £3m deal.
The 23-year-old defender has been on the books at Liverpool since signing from Bradford as a 14-year-old in 2008, and was handed his first-team debut in 2012, during Rodgers' time as Reds boss.
However, Wisdom has spent most of his time out on loan, having spent time with Derby County, West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City. Now back at Anfield, Wisdom appears to have little future under Jurgen Klopp, and a reunion with Rodgers appears to be drawing closer.
It's claimed that Wisdom is open to linked up with Rodgers again, and despite spending the last couple of season at right back, he could be in line for a position switch at Celtic.
The report adds that Wisdom could play at centre half alongside Erik Sviatchenko, and with talks ongoing, we could see a resolution on this deal in the coming days, with Wisdom potentially leaving Anfield for good in order to work with Rodgers again.
