HITC Sport understands several sides in England and Scotland are chasing former Kilmarnock captain.
A number of Scottish Premiership and English League One sides are weighing up a move for former Kilmarnock defender Mark Connolly on a free transfer, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Former Bolton Wanderers youngster Connolly is a free agent after cancelling his contract at Kilmarnock a year early.
Connolly joined Kilmarnock on a free transfer in the summer of 2014 and he was named the club's player of the year in his debut season.
Connolly endured an unlucky season at Kilmarnock due to injuries with the defender making just 10 appearances for the club.
The 24-year-old was forced to undergo surgery on his hip in February after initially suffering the problem in pre-season last summer.
Connolly played through the pain barrier at the start of last season after being named captain for the campaign, but he was forced to go under the knife in February to rule him out for the remainder of the year.
The former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international is now close to full fitness again and he is keen to fix himself up with a new club in preparation for pre-season training.
A number of Kilmarnock's Scottish Premiership rivals and several League One sides are now weighing up a move for Connolly as they look to bolster their squads for next season.
