Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies was in action for Wales at the weekend.
The 23-year-old left-back featured in the friendly international match between Wales and Sweden away from home in Stockholm on Sunday.
The former Swansea City man started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the visiting team lost 3-0.
Davies came up against one of the greatest players of all time in Zlatan Ibrahimovic (see photo above) during the encounter.
The former AC Milan and Juventus striker started the match for Sweden and played for 61 minutes.
It gave Davies a taste of what’s to come next season, as Ibrahimovic will reportedly sign for Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
According to The Guardian, Ibrahimovic’s agent, Mino Raiola, has reached a deal with the Red Devils over the star’s salary, and talks will now take place between the striker and the club’s new manager Jose Mourinho.
Ibrahimovic is a world-class striker, and he would be a key figure in United’s quest to win the Premier League title next season.
A number of other world-class players could switch to the English top flight in the summer transfer window, and playing against Ibrahimovic would have given Davies a glimpse into what he would have to face as a defender during the 2016-17 campaign, both in the Premier League and in the Champions League.
