Reported Glasgow Rangers and Celtic target Steven Taylor has told the Chronicle that he has not yet decided over his future.
Rangers have reportedly identified Taylor as a player who could bring a lot to Ibrox (Daily Express), as Mark Warburton aims to build his squad for their first season back in the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic, meanwhile, also apparently believe that Taylor would enhance the quality of their defensive options.
Brendan Rodgers is on the look out for new additions who would improve his Celtic squad, after taking over last month.
Taylor, who has recently been released by Newcastle United, admits that he has received offers but he is keeping his options open.
“Who knows? I’m excited for my future," the centre-back said. “It’s something to look forward to.
“We’ll play it by ear and take it one day at a time. We’ll not jump the gun.”
Taylor was let go by Newcastle soon after they dropped into the Championship, as he has struggled at St. James’ Park of late.
The experienced centre-back failed to hold down a first-team place at Newcastle, with a series of injuries halting his progress.
Taylor made 271 appearances for Newcastle’s senior squad, after progressing through their youth academy.
