Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud did not have a great 2015-16 season on a personal level, but he remains an important player for France.
The former Montpellier striker will be important for France in their quest to win the Euro 2016 finals on home soil this summer.
The 29-year-old is in good form at the moment and underlined his importance to the side on Saturday afternoon.
Giroud scored twice against Scotland on Saturday night, as Didier Deschamps’s side won the friendly international match 3-0.
The Arsenal striker found the net first in the eighth minute and then on 35 minutes, and had a good game overall.
During the 2015-16 season, the Frenchman scored 16 goals and created 36 chances in 38 Premier League appearances for the Gunners.
The striker found the net five times and created five chances in seven Champions League matches for the North London outfit this past season.
Giroud has often been criticised for not taking his chances, and many Arsenal fans are yet to be convinced that he is the striker who can lead the team to the Premier League title.
However, the Frenchman’s goals against Scotland is certainly going to please all Arsenal fans (see his celebration photos above and below).
It can only be good for the Gunners if Giroud scores goals regularly for France and has a good Euro 2016.
