The 24-year-old looks set for pastures new this summer.

Victor Wanyama is a target for Leicester City should N’Golo Kante depart, according to the Daily Star.
The Saints midfielder has one year left on his contract and has shown no intention of extending that, paving the way for his St Mary’s exit.

Spurs failed in an attempt to bring the Kenyan to the Lane last summer, as reported by the London Evening Standard, but are likely to make another approach as manager Mauricio Pochettino looks to bring in competition and cover for Eric Dier.

Wanyama thrived under Pochettino at Southampton and would favour a move to London according to the Star’s report, but the Lilywhites may well have a battle on their hands should Leicester formalise their interest.
Kante’s stellar campaign last term coupled with his £20 million buyout clause makes his departure almost inevitable and Wanyama would make for a more than adequate replacement in the heart of the Foxes’ midfield.

Yet despite Leicester’s title as reigning Premier League champions, White Hart Lane is likely to represent a more attractive proposition for Wanyama and Spurs will be confident of securing his signature, with or without competition from Claudio Ranieri’s team.
