USA national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann has suggested to The Mirror that Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane can be as good as Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Kane is one of the best strikers in the Premier League and has been truly superb for the past two seasons.

The 22-year-old will be a key player for England at the Euro 2016 finals in France this month.

Former Tottenham star Klinsmann has suggested that Kane has the potential to be as good as Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic.

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo, a former Manchester United player, will feature for Portugal at the European Championship, while Ibrahimovic will attempt to lead Sweden to glory in France.

Klinsmann has also hailed Kane for his humility and his hunger to improve himself all the time.

“I adore Harry Kane," Klinsmann told The Mirror. "I love him. I really like the way he has developed over the last few years, looking at it from the outside, I have constantly said to people that it is really nice to see the younger players stay grounded, staying normal.

“You don’t get a sense of any of the players losing sight of where they are which is very important and great to see. You don’t want to see them become big headed.

“The opposite really is the case with him and that is very good to see. With Harry he seems to be getting hungrier every day because he wants to win trophies and make a real name for himself.”

“Of course there are fantastic strikers at a tournament like the Euros,” added Klinsmann. “Zlatan, Ronaldo and the others. Can he be as good as them? Yeah, only time will tell.”

Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo gestures

Kane scored 25 goals and created 44 chances in 38 Premier League appearances for Tottenham this past season.

During the 2014-15 campaign, the England international striker scored 21 goals and created 27 chances in 34 league matches for the North London outfit.

Klinsmann’s suggestion that Kane can be as good as Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic is quite bold.

While the Tottenham striker has had two very good seasons, Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic are two of the greatest players of all time.

Moreover, both Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic are more talented than Kane, although the England international striker is very hard working and never gives up during matches.
