West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho is thought to be interested in a move to Sunderland, reports the Mirror.

The Black Cats are reportedly interested in a move for the Sunderland striker this summer as Sam Allardyce looks to improve his squad.

Chief among his plans are bringing in another forward to take the goalscoring burden off of Jermain Defoe, who they relied on heavily this past season.

According to Sky Sports they have already made an £11million bid for the Hammers forward, although so far it is unknown whether the Hammers have accepted that bid.

Indeed, it was also unknown whether the player would be interested in the move to the North East either, although the Mirror states that it is their belief he would be keen on the switch.

He is eyeing up the chance at more first team football, which may be hard to come by with West Ham if they secure the big money striker they are targeting.

Whether the Hammers are interested in a sale remains to be seen, although they will likely be keen to gather funds to secure the high profile striker they crave.
