Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Liverpool are battling for Ajax star Anwar El Ghazi, reports Gianluca di Marzio.

The winger enjoyed a fine season, scoring 11 goals and claiming two assists in 34 games in all competitions for the Dutch giants.

That form has attracted attention across Europe, and reportedly there are three English teams all fighting for his signature.

They are Premier League duo Crystal Palace and Liverpool, as well as recently relegated Aston Villa, according to Gianluca di Marzio.

Liverpool are expected to be busy this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to mould the squad he inherited from Brendan Rodgers.

The German is particularly keen to add wide players to his group, given that is an area that the team is particularly lacking in at this moment in time.

That has led to links to several wingers, and El Ghazi is reportedly among those being targeted, although he faces competition for his signature.

Aston Villa are also keen, and despite their relegation to the Championship going against them, their new owner has a good relationship with El Ghazi’s agent Jorge Mendes so could exploit those ties while Crystal Palace are also credited with an interest.
