Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool were thought to have all but sealed a deal for the Udinese winger, who has been on loan at Empoli this past season, however it is now thought that Napoli are one of the front runners to land the 22 year old.
And speaking to Naples based Radio Kiss Kiss and quoted by Football Italia, the winger’s agent, Bartolomiej Bolek, who had recently stated a move to Liverpool was now at risk, has shelved talks about the future until after the European Championships.
Liverpool are said to be interested in the winger
“He still has two or more years on his contract”, Bolek said.
“Now he is very focused on the Euros. This is not the moment to discuss the market.”
Zielinski is in the Poland squad along with the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Jakub Blaszczykowski, and he is hotly tipped to be one of the standout newcomers to the international stage at this summer’s Euros.
Zielinski will play alongside Lewandowski in France this summer
The Polish winger has had an excellent season on loan at Empoli in Serie A, establishing himself with four goals and five assists to his name in his second loan spell at the club.
