Quoted by the Liverpool Echo, Brazil full back Dani Alves has told Philippe Coutinho to consider leaving Liverpool.

Coutinho was once again the star of the show for Liverpool this past season as he was one of several Reds stars to flourish under Jurgen Klopp.

He has long been linked with a move to La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid in the past, with it believed he could be a star for either side.

They are not the only big European side he has been linked with either, with recent reports claiming that Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain are eyeing a big money move for him this summer.

As far as those rumours are concerned Liverpool would reject any bids, but Alves has told his compatriot that he should consider leaving Anfield.

“Football is about living the moment,” he told Yahoo Esportes, reported by the Liverpool Echo.

“Liverpool have history but you should consider playing for top UCL sides. He has the quality to play for Barcelona.”

There is no denying that Coutinho could be a big star for any of the big European sides should he move to one.

Indeed, given his performances for Liverpool, it would be no surprise to find that any of the Champions League giants are interested in his services.

He could be tempted by a move too, with the Reds facing a fight to get back into the Champions League in future.
