Aston Villa fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the appointment of Roberto Di Matteo as the manager.
Di Matteo has been appointed the new Villa manager with Steve Clarke coming in as his assistant. The Italian succeeds Remi Garde, who parted company with the Villans in March,
Di Matteo started his managerial career at Milton Keynes Dons before taking charge of West Bromwich Albion in 2009.
The former Italy international midfielder worked wonders at West Brom, as he guided them to promotion to the Premier League.
The Italian also led Chelsea to FA Cup and Champions League success during the 2011-12 season. Di Matteo will now try to get Villa back to the Premier League from the Championship.
Villa and West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to have their say on the appointment of the Italian.

Aston Villa fans on Roberto Di Matteo:
Di Matteo has been done for weeks. I presume he has had more than enough time to identify players - meaning he gets them in quickly #avfc— Dale Birch (@BattleBorn__) June 3, 2016
I'd like to see #AVFC turn it round and hope DiMatteo works out. But I just don't really see it. The player that was is not the boss that is— SydtheEagle (@godotsarrived) June 3, 2016

Does anyone else have a horrible feeling that one day the rejected duo of Di Matteo and Clarke might come back to haunt us? #wba— Lee Edmunds (@ledmunds) June 3, 2016
