West Ham United have been showing a lot of ambition in the transfer market this summer and high profile names such as Carlos Bacca, Gokhan Tore, Alexandre Lacazette and Michy Batshuayi among others have all been linked with a move to the Olympic Stadium over the past few weeks.
While West Ham fans are certainly excited at their club being linked with such names, manager Slaven Bilic is also looking to recruit a couple of squad players so as to deal with the extra exertions of European football next season and it was recently reported that the Hammers were eyeing up a move for Atiba Hutchinson.
Hutchinson is an experienced defender who is currently plying his trade for Turkish Super Lig outfit Besiktas. Bilic is well aware of Hutchinson’s abilities, having worked together with the Canadian international in Turkey and claims are being made that a reunion between the two at West Ham is a possibility.
Now Hutchinson’s agent, Niclas Jensen, has gone on to speak regarding the rumors and admitted that he has been in talks with West Ham regarding a potential move this summer.
Jensen told Soccer News Netherlands, “We've been talking for a while with the club. We hope for an agreement, but it may take some time. There are more clubs taking an interest in Atiba, so I can’t definitively say he will go to West Ham.”
Soccer News Netherlands also go on to claim that West Ham are currently in advanced talks over the signing of Hutchinson and the 33-year-old seems very likely to join the Premier League outfit.
