Report: Hull City set to complete the signing of Will Mannion

According to reports from ESPN FC, newly promoted Premier League outfit Hull City are close to completing the signing of promising goalkeeper Will Mannion.

Hull City have earned promotion into the Premier League after only one season in the Championship and many feel that the Tigers are now better equipped to avoid the drop during the upcoming campaign, in comparison to the last time they were in the top flight.

That being said, Hull will most certainly have to strengthen their squad this summer so as to stand a better chance of staving off relegation and the Tigers seem to have already made their first move by agreeing a deal for Will Mannion.

According to ESPN FC, Hull have agreed a fee with Wimbledon to sign Mannion and the Tigers will now be holding talks with the youngster to discuss personal terms.

Mannion has not made a first team appearance for Wimbledon as of yet but has been making an impression for the club’s under-21 side and as a result, the 17-year-old had managed to grab the attention of the likes of Liverpool, Stoke City and Hull.

It now looks like Hull have won the race to sign Mannion and the goalkeeper will surely be keen on making the most of a wonderful opportunity at the KC Stadium.
