According to Tuttosport, AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca is edging further towards the exit door as the Italian club line up striker Jackson Martinez as his potential replacement.

The report claims that West Ham United are keen on signing Bacca from Milan this summer and the Serie A side may struggle to hold on to their prized asset as they consider the possibility of losing him.

The Hammers are in the market for a top striker this summer and they may not find a better option than Milan top scorer Bacca, considering the club’s struggles and his desire for success.

Milan endured a poor campaign in Serie A, missing out on Europe altogether, while West Ham in contrast experienced an excellent campaign under Slaven Bilic and could feature in the group stage of the Europa League next season.

With West Ham preparing to move into the Olympic Stadium, a big-name striker is at the very top of their summer transfer priorities, and Bacca is among the most realistic options.

The talented striker helped Sevilla win consecutive Europa League titles before opting to join Milan, but he was ultimately sold short in regards to the Italian club’s promise as they struggled this past campaign.

The report suggests that he is now likely to leave the San Siro this summer, and Jackson Martinez has been lined up as his replacement as the club look to work out a loan move with his parent club Guangzhou Evergrande.

Colombia international Bacca netted 20 goals in 42 games in all competitions for Milan this past season, and Sky Sports claim that West Ham have already seen a £15 million bid for him turned down.
