Chelsea are set to step up their chase of Italian wide man Antonio Candreva, according to Il Tempo.

The Italian media outlet report that Candreva is a target for new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, who has included the Lazio winger in his squad for this summer’s Euro 2016.

Conte will remain in charge of the Azzurri for the duration of the tournament before linking up with the Blues.

However, should Chelsea wish to secure Candreva’s signature, they will need to fend off interest from Champions League runners up Atletico Madrid, who are also thought to be in the running along with Inter Milan, who have recently come under new ownership.

And Lazio club President Claudio Lotito is also said to not be willing to sanction any negotiations with Candreva, unless his valuation of the player is met, a figure thought to be in the region of €25 to €28 million.

Candreva has made 30 league appearances this season for Lazio, scoring 10 goals in the process.

He has made over 35 appearances for his country, and is expected to play an important role for Conte's side in France this summer.
