After much speculation, it has been confirmed that Dani Alves will be ending his glorious eight-year stay at Barcelona this summer.
Confirming the departure, Barcelona Sporting Director Robert Fernandez said, "Dani Alves has decided to leave. It's a personal decision that we respect. At right-back we have confidence in Aleix Vidal, he was signed for that reason. We also have Sergi Roberto."
It is expected that Alves will now be making a move to Italian giants Juventus and the 33-year-old is reportedly set to sign a three-year deal with the Italian champions as he continues his illustrious career elsewhere.
One can be sure that Barcelona will be looking to sign a new right-back this summer as a replacement for Alves and it has widely been claimed that the La Liga giants have identified Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin as their top target.
Bellerin started his career at Barcelona before making a move to Arsenal in 2011 and it is believed that the 21-year-old could be open to the idea of returning to the Nou Camp.
Arsenal fans are well aware of the possibility of Bellerin re-joining Barcelona this summer and have taken to Twitter to express their concern about the potential deal.
