The midfielder has completed a move from Borussia Dortmund to become Pep Guardiola's first signing.
Manchester City completed a move for Gundogan on Thursday morning, paying Borussia Dortmund £21million for his services.
He becomes the first signing of Pep Guardiola’s reign at the Etihad Stadium, with the new manager expected to be busy in this summer transfer window.
At that price, his capture is being seen as something of a steal, with the German midfielder having starred in the Bundesliga for Dortmund for several years.
And Manchester City fans have reacted positively on Twitter to the news they have completed their first signing of the summer.

When will Gundogan return from injury? Looking forward to seeing him play under the tutelage of Guardiola. #MCFC— Rhod Cannon (@RhodriCannon) June 2, 2016
It will now be interesting to see where Gundogan will fit into the City team under Guardiola.
He is out injured until around December, having dislocated his kneecap earlier this year, an injury that ruled him out of Euro 2016 with Germany.
When he is fit though, he is likely to be a key man for Guardiola’s City revolution and perhaps his arrival could hasten the departure of Yaya Toure from the Etihad.
