According to a report from the Daily Mail, Rangers are looking for a new centre back - but won't be targeting Liverpool defender Kolo Toure.
The Gers have been very active in the transfer market already this summer, as Jordan Rossiter and Joey Barton have signed from Liverpool and Burnley respectively, whilst Accrington duo Matt Crooks and Josh Windass will arrive having penned pre-contract agreements in January.

However, with Rangers returning to the top flight of Scottish football, Warburton still needs some more new signings, and defence is a particular area of concern.
Danny Wilson and Rob Kiernan had their ups and downs in the heart of defence this past season, and with a step-up in quality imminent - and no cover behind them - Warburton must bring in another centre back ahead of the Scottish Premiership season.

Now, the Daily Mail report that Rangers are searching for a player who can fill that void in defence, and are exploring various options - but Kolo Toure won't be heading to Ibrox this summer.
The Ivorian defender, 35, has been linked with a move to Rangers on social media, but it's suggested that the Liverpool man isn't on Rangers' radar, and they will look to alternative solutions.

The former Arsenal and Manchester City man is out of contract at Liverpool this summer, and some had wondered whether the could follow the aforementioned Rossiter from Anfield to Ibrox.
Yet, despite possessing the experience Rangers need at the back, it seems that Warburton isn't pursuing a deal for Toure, who could end up heading to China.
